That is a very good question! There are a few changes we made between the soft launch of the 5oz Spaghetti last year and the recent nationwide launch of the 8oz Spaghetti:
- We increased the size of the noodle and made slight changes to the recipe for a better eating experience all around!
- We have moved to 140g per serving on the NEW 8oz Spaghetti product to be consistent with FDA serving size regulation.
- Because this product must be cooked up before eaten, we ran a lab test on the final Nutrition Facts Panel (NFP) contents of this product after it was boiled. The "post-boil" NFP is represented on the new 8oz Spaghetti where the "pre-boil" NFP is represented on the older 5oz Spaghetti. On a standardized serving basis, this all has resulted in significantly lower overall calories, total fat, sodium, total carbs, and total sugars as well as an increase in fiber.
